Bethany had everything you could ask for. A condo that was (almost) paid off, a well paying job, and most importantly, a family. It all changed in a heart beat and she had to watch as her whole world crumbled around her and soon she found herself alone in a city of flesh-eating zombies.
Despite the overwhelming odds against her, Beth has managed to do what very few people have been able to do in this post-apocalyptic nation.
She has survived.
However, after coming across a young man with an unexpected trait, she finds herself torn between staying in the comfort and safety of her current routine or risking it all for the greater good of humanity.
As expected, there will be blood, guts, bodies and other unsightly dead things, you have been warned!
Hello again everyone! I had such a fantastic time at the Calgary Comic Expo, and thank you to everyone who came by, and also thank you to everyone who left me well wishes either here or on our social media sites!
Back on schedule, what are we gonna put these guys through next?
Yay! More Survival in a zombie infested world with a human, living, non rotting carrier and possibly the only other person in the world who can also be such... and they're opposite genders and the female's probably old enough to be his mother... awkward.
Anyways, where's my shotgun and box of Shotgun shells? *rummages around in his commedic hammerspace for his shotgun and ammo for it and eventually falls inside it.*
*a grappling hook lodges into the ceiling of the 4th wall's room as Xylas climbs out of his pocket of hammerspace, shotgun slung over his back.*
@moonjellybeans: Well, the part of my brain that's in the gutter says that the years have been nice to her, all things considered.
That aside... since the Guy's already infected, does that mean he can be killer of the zeds with loud weapons person? I mean, aside from some part of him wanting to hulk out every now and then not much else can happen to him since the zombies seem to think he's one of them... right?
Edit: ... Hmmm.... Well, Magnus also seems to be able to infect, though is at the very least, highly resistant to being overtaken by that Hyde like zombie side of him if that scene by the chainlink fence indicated anything. Hyde as in, Magnus' the Jekyll
@Xylas_Incarnum: Well, I'm being a little mean with her, she's not quite old enough to be his mom, but pretty close.
The zombies around town will still chase him around because for all intents and purposes he's still "alive" and therefore a viable source of nutrients, and even though another bite won't turn him, if he gets overwhelmed, he could still get torn apart.
The ability to hulk out does have a few drawbacks which I will get to later in the story. :3
@moonjellybeans: And would be rather easy to make in this sorta scenario if you can find a blowtorch and know a bit about welding and basic gear mechanics.
Definitely would be a bit of a pain to reload though.
Edit... Why am I having a feeling I've gone down this converstation before? Dunno how or why, but I've got the strangest sense of deja-vu re reading this conversation's path. Quite weird... Though I've been feeling like I've repeated a lot of first time conversations lately. Nothing concrete, just that persistant Deja-vu sense.
