Bethany had everything you could ask for. A condo that was (almost) paid off, a well paying job, and most importantly, a family. It all changed in a heart beat and she had to watch as her whole world crumbled around her and soon she found herself alone in a city of flesh-eating zombies.
Despite the overwhelming odds against her, Beth has managed to do what very few people have been able to do in this post-apocalyptic nation.
She has survived.
However, after coming across a young man with an unexpected trait, she finds herself torn between staying in the comfort and safety of her current routine or risking it all for the greater good of humanity.
As expected, there will be blood, guts, bodies and other unsightly dead things, you have been warned!
I love the dynamic between these two. From the get go, we can tell Bethany is far more experienced than Magnus, and even though she has a very survivalist mindset, she's still compassionate enough to give him a chance. I like how you can tell Magnus isn't American, or at least that he has a non-American heritage, through little quirks such as his night time greeting here.
@Shieldmaiden: Yay! I'm glad! This is honestly one of my favourite dynamics in film/comics too. Beth was actually a lot more suspicious and mean-spirited in her original draft, but it was too much for her character, and just didn't suit her. More than ever, I'm glad I made her a little softer, and more open.
Magnus being Norwegian is something I wanted to do from the get-go since I can't think of too many characters from Norway. Usually if they're Scandinavian, they're Swedish. It helps my family background is Norwegian ;)
