Bethany had everything you could ask for. A condo that was (almost) paid off, a well paying job, and most importantly, a family. It all changed in a heart beat and she had to watch as her whole world crumbled around her and soon she found herself alone in a city of flesh-eating zombies.
Despite the overwhelming odds against her, Beth has managed to do what very few people have been able to do in this post-apocalyptic nation.
She has survived.
However, after coming across a young man with an unexpected trait, she finds herself torn between staying in the comfort and safety of her current routine or risking it all for the greater good of humanity.
As expected, there will be blood, guts, bodies and other unsightly dead things, you have been warned!
So, probably a lot of you don't even know this unless you follow my personal blogs, but I am presently 7 months pregnant, and the exhaustion has finally caught up to me in a way that I can't really ignore it. My maternity leave starts at my day job in less than a month, but I think I need to just take a full on break, including my comic work, for a while.
I'm unsure how long of a break I'll be taking, and I will probably work out a mailing list? Or something? So, as soon as I'm back into the swing of things, you will all know. This isn't a decision I make easily, after all, this is Under the Dead Skies' 5th year and I still have so much more story and so many more heartstrings to tug, so don't think I will give up on this project too easily <3
For those on my Patreon, I will still be making updates as I'm able to make them! Your guys' content will be even more exclusive now, and when I come back I'll have a good buffer, so hopefully I won't need to miss an update again for a looooong time.
If you want to keep up with my goings on, I'll still be on Tumblr and Twitter fairly regularly (@moonjellybeans on both). I still have zine submissions I owe, and those will be finished by their deadlines <3
You guys are all amazing and I can't tell you how much your continued support means to me~ Thank you so much for sticking with me during this spotty year, and I WILL be back as soon as I am able to keep a regular schedule again!
Good luck with the little one, UtDS will still be on my check list so take as long as you need. Babies are exhausting, both before and after they come screaming into your life, stealing both your energy and your heart, so take care of yourself.
